Article Title: “Groupon – The Erosion of Our Industry”

This article discusses the disadvantages of using the app Groupon. Cincotta discuses how the advantages of the app are actually disadvantages when it comes to an industry like photography. Although using a coupon to attract customers rightfully do so, it comes at the cost of less personal time with the customer and, consequently, a less appealing experience. Cincotta mentions a personal experience of how he gained the sale of a photo shoot with a couple due to their dissatisfaction after being shot by another photographer who offered a coupon through Groupon. Cincotta suggests investing the money spent on coupon hosting on improved equipment or updating marketing.
The color of the woman’s shirt is what most drew me to this photo. The use of space and placing the couple along the first third makes the photo more appealing. The use of space draws your eye to the couple and creates a sense of isolation which makes the scene feels more romantic.
